Brownie Points volunteer rewards

I designed website wireframes for my friend’s non-profit.

Her non-profit advertised volunteer opportunities and rewarded volunteers for volunteering.

My wireframes

These are my high-fidelity wireframes based on user journey mapping and many discussions with the project team.

My lessons

I took away 3 lessons from the project.

1 — Vivid imagery of people is more engaging

An image of beautiful scenery will catch someone’s eye, but an image filled with people will grab someone’s full attention.

2 — The font you choose expresses personality

Your font is your accent, the way your words sound to someone’s eyes. Choose a font that reflects your tone of voice.

3 — Your calls to action should relate to the path someone is taking

Boring calls to action are ‘Submit’ or ‘Get started’ or ‘Continue’. Interesting calls to action are ‘Start my free trial’ or ‘Join for 30 days free’ or ‘Get my premium access’.
