Netflix app for dating and meeting people

I designed a Netflix concept app called Chill.

Chill is for dating and meeting people.

Notable features

Chill logo ‘C’ in the same style as the Netflix logo ‘N’.

You can set the types of interactions you’re looking for, such as relationship, friendship or ‘see what happens’.

You can see the TV shows and movies you’ve both watched. These are conversation starters and ways to see if you’d be a good match.

You can watch Netflix together, and you’ll be shown recommendations that you’ll likely both like.

My lessons

I took away 3 lessons from the project.

1 — Primary navigation is key to explaining your app

Your user gets an instant feel for what’s important in your app based on what you choose to make the bottom navigation items.

2 — Dark-mode apps look strong and bold

There is a strong presence and elegance to an app that’s primarily black with a black background.

3 — Neat subheadings contextualise content

Headings don’t have to be big. Headings can be subtle and provide lots of context without taking up a lot of space.
